40mod
40mod is a one-time pad encryption toy. It is distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License v. 3. 40mod depends on the following software:
- Python (v. >= 2.4)
40mod uses a modulo 40 character set which is a version of modulo 26 expanded to include numbers, spaces, some punctuation, and newlines.
DISCLAIMER: I make no guarantee whatsoever about the effectiveness of the encryption 40mod uses. Also, one-time pad encryption is only as strong as the secrecy of the pads and the randomness of their generation, neither of which are adequately addressed by 40mod. 40mod is simply an encryption toy.
